History
Restore Hope International was founded by Rev. Daniel Nichols while serving on a pastoral training mission trip to East Africa in 2014. He saw first hand the extent of suffering among fatherless children in Lira Northern Uganda due to decades of civil war, oppression, and generational poverty. In 2016 Restore Hope International, Inc. became a 501c-3 charity in the United States, registered in California in an effort to make a positive impact on these children, who are often overlooked by big-aid organizations.
mission
Our mission is to help restore hope, health, and dignity to those affected by poverty in Uganda.
We believe every person is made in the image of God and has a destiny to fulfill. Within the communities we serve these human beings already possess dignity, strength, and resilience no matter what their circumstance. We also know the regions we work have faced specific challenges including; civil wars, famine based on drought, generational poverty, lack of security for food and water, forced child soldiers, and human trafficking. These challenges create additional hardships that are undeserved and exceedingly difficult to rise above.
Regular monthly giving is the most effective way to help make lasting change among the orphans and widows devastated by loss after loss. Join the team of hope.
Joining God’s work to restore health, hope, and dignity to marginalized and vulnerable families affected by poverty through Christ-centered education to the orphans of Lira.
